Moon Phase
After playing with the programmed graphical capabilities of the Flash—exporting the result into PostScript, then distilling it to PDF and finally importing it to Illustrator—my next attempt in the cover series was a rather sonically balanced, more optimistic approach: a bunch of songs that keep you awake while driving at night. The morphing textures of the Moon were entirely coded, while the remaining parts were made in InDesign. The ChaletComprimé typeface—created by Paul van der Laan for a companion family of House Industries’ Chalet—used throughout the whole design is the one I used in several other projects too these years.
